What turned out to be a big week on the trail for new head coach Steve Sarkisian and the 2022 Texas football recruiting amounted to a trio of commitments to add to the mix. It all started out with Texas landing a commitment from the highly-touted four-star Tyler Legacy (TX) running back Jamarion Miller on the night of June 28.

Texas got their second running back commit in the 2022 class after landing Miller. The other is the talented four-star Klein Cain product Jaydon Blue, one of Sark’s initial commits and the Longhorns in the 2022 class.

Landing that commitment from Miller also brought the Longhorns up to a dozen prospects in the 2022 class. But that number quickly rose again later in the week, as the dead period brought plenty of action out of the gates on the recruiting trail on the Forty Acres.

Who to appreciate now in the 2022 Texas football recruiting class?

Heading into the holiday weekend, Texas landed commitments from two touted interior offensive linemen. Subsequently, at 7 p.m. CT on July 2, Texas got commitments from the four-star Frisco product Cole Huston and three-star Westlake product Connor Robertson.

Texas is now up to 14 commits in the 2022 class, with more potentially on the way in the near future. The month of July is set to be a very busy one on the recruiting trail for the Longhorns 2022 class.

According to the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings, the 2022 Texas recruiting class now ranks at No. 6 in the nation and in the top spot in the Big 12 ahead of the Baylor Bears. Of the 14 commits in the 2022 class as of July 4, which are some of the most undervalued for Sark and the Longhorns?
