Maybe the most relevant transfer portal target to watch for Sark and the Longhorns in the month of January is the former Wyoming Cowboys standout 6-foot-3 and 210-pound redshirt freshman wide receiver Isaiah Neyor.

Texas has an obvious need to add depth at wide receiver this offseason. And adding a commitment out of the transfer portal in the near future from Neyor would go a long way to helping Texas fill this gap in 2022.

There are three schools that now have visits set with Neyor before he makes his decision. And those three are the Longhorns, USC Trojans, and Tennessee Volunteers. Given that Texas wasn’t one of the first schools to offer Neyor out of the transfer portal this offseason, it’s nice to see them making progress with him this month.

Texas getting a visit from Neyor is obviously an important first step to watch here. If Texas can make the right pitch to Neyor, this should be an appealing landing spot for him out of the portal. He could be part of an explosive trio at wide receiver that also includes freshman star Xavier Worthy and standout redshirt sophomore Jordan Whittington.

Neyor could be the big possession receiver on the outside that is always a threat to get those intermediate and deep routes on a pinpoint from Ewers. That is likely to be the pitch from the staff, and it could really hit well with Neyor.
