2023 running back focus for Texas football after losing Rueben Owens
By Shane Black
Jeremiah Cobb
Out of Montgomery, AL, Jeremiah Cobb is rated as the No. 8 running back and No. 206 player in the class of 2023.
Cobb visited Austin on the weekend of April 16 and was subsequently offered by the Longhorns. Just one month later, he released a top-six that included Texas. Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee were also included.
Cobb is a sub-10.9 100-meter speedster with great vision and elusive tendencies. If Cobb breaks into the second level, he is more than likely walking into the end-zone.
Although Texas did make the final six for the Montgomery native, Auburn seems to be in the lead for his signature. The longer this recruitment lasts the better it may be for Coach Choice and the Longhorns as he gains a strong rapport with the new offer.
