Dominick McKinley, DL

The top priority among defensive linemen in the 2024 class for DL coach Bo Davis and the Longhorns is the elite five-star Lafayette (LA) Acadiana product, Dominick McKinley. This is another recruitment where Texas A&M and LSU are duking it out with Texas to land a commitment from an elite five-star in the 2024 class.

Texas made a big impression on McKinley during his official visit to Austin in late June. But this recruitment still has a long way to go, as McKinley could wait until later in the fall to decide.

McKinley is the prize defensive line recruit for Davis and the Longhorns in the 2024 class. There is a spot for him in this class, almost no matter what.

D’antre Robinson, DL

The next big decision date on the docket among key targets of the Longhorns in the 2024 class is the Orlando product, Robinson. The towering 6-foot-4 and 315-pound interior defensive lineman will decide between Texas and the Florida Gators on July 20 at 1 p.m. CT.

Texas is expected to be the pick over Florida for the underrated blue-chip defensive lineman out of Orlando, FL, on July 20.

Robinson is my favorite interior defensive line target that could soon join the Longhorns 2024 class. He is an SEC-caliber interior defensive lineman that isn’t moved off the ball easily and could gobble up double teams in the trenches.
