Where top 2025 Texas football signees ranked in the final Top247 this week

The Longhorns finish the recruiting cycle for 2025, tied with the most five-star signees for the 2025 class of any program, along with the Georgia Bulldogs, having four each.

The final Top247 rankings for the 2025 recruiting class were revealed in late January to put a bookend on this cycle. Texas has solidified the No. 1 ranking for this recruiting cycle for 2025, according to the Top247 and updated 247Sports Composite as of late January for the aggregate.

Here's a look at where Texas's five-star signees for the 2025 class in the final Top247 were slotted among the overall top prospects for this cycle.

No. 23: Kade Phillips, CB

Missouri City (TX) Fort Bend Hightower cornerback Kade Phillips highlights another tremendous cornerback haul for the 2025 recruiting class for the Longhorns on the trail. Phillips was a late riser in the rankings from the major recruiting services for this cycle for 2025. He finishes up ranked as the No. 23 overall prospect in the Top247 and No. 4 at the cornerback position.

Phillips is an early enrollee at Texas who will participate in spring ball for the Longhorns.

No. 21: Kaliq Lockett, WR

Sachse's (TX) Kaliq Lockett has finished up the 2025 cycle in the Top247 as the No. 1 ranked wide receiver prospect in Texas. He is the No. 21 ranked overall prospect in the nation and the No. 2 wide receiver. The five-star from Duncanville High School in the DFW Metroplex, Oregon Ducks commit Dakorien Moore, is the No. 1 wide receiver.

Texas had an extremely talented group of wide receivers committed to the 2025 class, including Lockett, Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin high-four-star Jaime Ffrench, and Lucas (TX) Lovejoy four-star Daylan McCutcheon.

No. 13: Justus Terry, DL

Landing five-star Manchester (GA) defensive lineman Justus Terry in early December was the biggest win for the 2025 class on the trail for Texas during signing day for this cycle. Terry is Texas's highest-rated defensive tackle commitment for the 2025 class, finishing up as the No. 13 ranked overall prospect in the nation for this cycle and the No. 3 defensive lineman.

Terry was one of the early enrollees from the 2025 class for the Longhorns who participated in postseason practice with the scout team. The 6-foot-5 and 275-pound ultra-athletic and lengthy defensive lineman Terry has already turned heads for those in and around the program since postseason practice and the early part of winter workouts with his strength and physical tools.

No. 6: Jonah Williams, S

Galveston (TX) Ball safety Jonah Williams finishes up this 2025 cycle as the No. 1 ranked safety prospect nationally for this class in the Top247 and the 247Sports Composite. He is also the highest-rated safety recruit in the history of the 247Sports Composite rankings to commit to Texas.

Williams, a two-sport athlete, will play football and baseball under new head coach Jim Schlossnagle for the Longhorns.
