Cam Coleman is no stranger to making jaw-dropping plays downfield, but seeing him do so in burnt orange, with a quarterback like Arch Manning making the pass, has the Texas Longhorns as ready as ever for the season to get here.

The Texas football social media team shared a picture and a video of Coleman soaring above defensive back Samari Matthews to bring the ball down, getting at least three feet off the ground to snag the catch.

Now, this is an athlete.

The Longhorns haven't lacked talent at the wideout position over the last few years, with stars like Ryan Wingo, DeAndre Moore Jr., and others rounding out the receiver room, but the explosiveness of Coleman's style of play has fans beyond excited for the actual season.

Coleman transferred to Texas from Auburn after spending two years with the Tigers, in hopes that having a talented quarterback like Manning could make his stats and draft value explode over the next season or so.

With these offseason practice clips, it looks like that hope is becoming a reality for the Horns' newest receiving talent.

Coleman isn't the only new offensive star on Texas's depth chart, with head coach Steve Sarkisian diving into the transfer portal to ensure that Manning's downfield targets, backfield help, and offensive line were as elite as possible.

Sark also added running backs Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown to add rushing talent, alongside Manning's consistently-relied-upon legs from last season.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, the Texas Longhorns kick off their 2026 season with a home game against the Texas State Bobcats in what could easily turn into a clinic for stars like Manning, Coleman, Smothers, and more to show off their talents.
