Dailyn Swain started his collegiate career with Sean Miller and the Xavier Musketeers. When Miller was named as the newest head coach of the Texas Longhorns, Swain followed him to Austin.
After just one season with the Horns, one in which Swain earned the honor of being named the SEC Newcomer of the Year, he is headed to the 2026 NBA Draft.
Swain officially declared for the draft on Tuesday, April 7, following his junior season of college basketball.

During the 2025-26 season at Texas, Swain averaged 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, all of which were career highs. In recent mock drafts, Swain has been projected as a late first-round or early second-round pick.
Miller first recruited Swain to Xavier in 2023, and the forward spent two years with the Musketeers. Over three years of collegiate basketball under Miller, Swain played in 99 games and started in 72 of them.

While at Texas, Swain was truly a driving force for Texas's regular-season success, which was inconsistent, but the junior forward's performances were continuously impressive.
During his one season with the Longhorns, Swain saw a season-high 34-point performance in Texas's overtime loss against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Before his time with the Horns, his career-high was a 27-point performance against Illinois in the first round of last year's NCAA Tournament.
According to ESPN and Texas's own online roster, Swain stands at 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds.
