Over four months ago, Sean Miller received his biggest recruiting news since taking over the Texas Longhorns in March of last year: four-star combo guard Austin Goosby had committed to his program.

Since then, Goosby has garnered more and more attention while playing his senior season of high school basketball, and, most recently, he pieced together a highlight reel-worthy performance at the 2026 McDonald's All-American game.

Despite coming off the bench, he had everything from a fast-break dunk to two sneaky steals on the opposite end of the court. Playing just under 14 minutes, Goosby earned 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and one assist.

Goosby, the brother of Texas football player Trevor Goosby, committed to the Horns over a slew of powerhouse programs, including the Duke Blue Devils, BYU Cougars, and Baylor Bears. Since committing, he hasn't wavered on his decision to join the Longhorns.

In February, he even attended a Texas game at the Moody Center in Austin with his brother, as the Horns took on and defeated the LSU Tigers.

Goosby is the No. 4 combo guard in the class of 2026 and the No. 28 overall prospect. A Dallas native, it was huge when Miller earned his commitment, keeping him in his home state for his collegiate career.

Miller's 2026 recruiting class ranks 12th nationally, highlighted by Goosby, who is joined by four-star shooting guard Bo Ogden, four-star combo guard Joe Sterling, and center Coleman Elkins.

In the McDonald's All-American game, Goosby played for the West team, which routed the East team in a 102-86 victory.
