Texas football will face the UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday night. After winning against the Michigan Wolverines, the Longhorns will return home to face an easier opponent. Right now, they are a five-score favorite against the Roadrunners, which is understandable. The Longhorns are competing at a completely different level than the Roadrunners are at the moment.

However, the Longhorns must treat this team like they were taking on an SEC team like Oklahoma or Georgia. They must live by the "all gas, no brakes" motto Texas Longhorns Football Head Coach Steve Sarkisian preaches. Here are three reasons why the Longhorns shouldn't have an issue beating the Roadrunners.

Why Texas football will beat UTSA: 3. Best QB duo in the country

Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning might be the best quarterback duo in college football at the moment. Right now, Ewers is the Heisman Trophy favorite going into week 3. Let's say, for some reason, Ewers were to get hurt against any team this season. Manning has proven he can take control of the offense without any issues.

You can expect both quarterbacks to get some playing time against the Roadrunners on Saturday night. Hopefully, Manning will be allowed to play the entire second half on Saturday for extra reps.

2. Wide receivers will stretch the Roadrunners's defense thin

I feel bad for the Roadrunners going into this week's matchup against the Longhorns offense. They will be facing one of the best wide-receiving cores in the nation.

The Longhorns can expect to confuse and manipulate their secondary at the line of scrimmage with the way they motion their receivers wide. With the way the starting offense likes to tear apart smaller football teams, the starting wide receivers should have the rest of the night off by halftime if they follow the game plan.

1. Jerrick Gibson will run loose

Freshman running back Jerrick Gibson has stepped up when the Longhorns needed him in the season's first two games. He will be called upon again this week against the Roadrunners. He has the speed to get past the defensive line and break free for the endzone.

With how bad the Roadrunners's defense was the first week of the season, Gibson shouldn't have any issues rushing for over 100 yards against them.
