Texas football's coaching staff has sent out multiple offers this week to emerging defensive tackle targets on the recruiting trail in the 2025 class from the state of Georgia. Earlier this week, Texas and DL coach Kenny Baker offered three-star Milton (GA) defensive lineman/Arkansas Razorbacks commit Caleb Bell and three-star Loganville (GA) Grayson defensive lineman/Florida Gators commit Joseph Mbatchou.

3-Star DL Caleb Bell says that the Texas football offer is a big deal for him

On Aug. 18, the Longhorns offered a third defensive lineman from Georgia in the 2025 class, Rutgers Scarlet Knights commit and Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett three-star Braxton Kyle.

Among the two recent 2025 defensive lineman offers who are committed to other SEC schools, Bell and Mbatchou, the former looks like he will be taking a visit to Texas soon for this fall. Horns247 reported on Aug. 18 that Bell is looking to visit Austin "towards the beginning of the season".

Texas is likely to have a plethora of visiting recruits from the 2025 and 2026 classes for the season opener on Aug. 31 against the Colorado State Rams. The other big game for the Longhorns at DKR this fall that is likely going to have an abundance of visitors at DKR is the high stakes matchup on Oct. 19 against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Bell said that the Texas offer is one that he's "been wanting for a long time". He also noted that "it felt really good to receive the offer" earlier this week from Baker.

The Longhorns jumping into this recruitment will make it more difficult for Arkansas to keep the pressure off from Bell potentially flipping his commitment to another SEC school this fall. Bell is looking at visiting multiple SEC schools this fall, including the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Arkansas, and Texas.

The four schools Bell mentioned he's remaining in communication with consistently going into the fall on the recruiting trail are the NC State Wolfpack, Texas, Mississippi State, and Arkansas.
