Just moments after five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales committed to the Indiana Hoosiers over the Texas Longhorns, everyone on the 40 Acres had another reason to feel concerned.
Current Texas commit and fellow five-star wide receiver Easton Royal took to social media, once again, to put the Horns on edge, changing his Instagram profile picture from a photo shoot on his official visit to Texas to one of him on an official visit with the Florida Gators.
Of course, this could have meant absolutely nothing. It could simply have been because the Florida photo included Heisman Trophies in it, while he was simply in the icy white uniforms at Texas, because what football player wouldn't want to flex that kind of hardware?
He does, however, still have "Top slider [at Texas football]" written in his Instagram bio, as well as having his commitment announcement pinned to the top of his profile.
Someone just DM’d me this — Easton Royal recently changed his Instagram profile picture to him on his #Florida visit.

He’s committed to #Texas, has his #OhioState offer pinned, and now changed his profile picture to the Gators.

Or, it could have meant everything, and Royal was inching closer to flipping his commitment from the Longhorns to the Gators, or one of the many other teams on the hunt to bring him into their program.
Are Florida, LSU creeping closer to Easton Royal fip?
Now, his profile picture switch-up wasn't his only social media activity over the last few days; reposting content from Texas accounts and keeping the photo from his OV with the Horns as his profile picture on X.
Nonetheless, any activity pointing toward another program would put Texas and its fans on edge, especially with how frequently the topic of Royal possibly flipping his commitment arises.
As of now, Florida and the LSU Tigers are the frontrunners to flip Royal in their direction, but fellow SEC teams like the Ole Miss Rebels and Tennessee Volunteers haven't exactly shied away from the challenge.

Royal is the No. 1 wide receiver and No. 6 overall prospect in the recruiting class of 2027, making him a massive commitment for the Longhorns. He is the second-highest-rated player in Texas's upcoming recruiting class, only trailing cornerback John Meredith III, and ranked ahead of interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara.
When Sales chose the Hoosiers over the Horns, it became even more imperative for head coach Steve Sarkisian to lock down, cement, solidify (whichever verb you want to choose) Royal's commitment to Texas.

Of course, any assumption or speculation about Royal's social media activity is just that, an entirely theoretical idea on what his movement could possibly mean.
A lot of people are starting to grow more used to the flip rumors than actually feeling confident in Royal's commitment, and for now, only time will tell if he decides to flip to another team in the Longhorns' own conference.
At the same time, as of right now, the signs aren't exactly pointing in Texas's direction.
