Rumors fly as Sean Miller supposedly pursues a former Duke Blue Devils commit

From throwing out the first pitch at a Texas baseball game to bringing in some of the top transfers this offseason, the new head coach Longhorn men's basketball team has made quite the splash since landing in Austin.

Sean Miller, who was named the head coach of the Horns just a few weeks ago, has already received numerous commitments from players like former Purdue forward Cam Heide and former Florida Atlantic center Matas Vokietaitis. He has also received commitments from former Texas players like Tramon Mark and Chendall Weaver to return for another season.

Now, Miller is reportedly on the hunt to secure a commitment from Shelton Henderson, a five-star prospect and former Duke Blue Devils signee.

What is Shelton Henderson ranked in the recruiting class of 2025?

Henderson is the No. 17 player in the country according to On3 and the No. 5 small forward in the country. The Texas native was part of what had been On3’s No. 1 recruiting class for Duke, a ranking which will undeniably drop with the decommitment of Henderson.

Since reopening his recruitment, Henderson became the No. 2 available player in the recruiting class of 2025, only trailing Nate Ament, who has yet to commit and is the No. 4 overall player in the class.

Currently, Miller's transfer portal recruiting class is ranked No. 4 nationally, according to On3, and his class of 2025 prospects is ranked No. 35, with just one commitment so far.
