Small forward Devon Pryor spent two seasons with the Texas Longhorns, but when head coach Rodney Terry and the program parted ways, he entered the transfer portal. Now, Pryor is heading to Oregon to join Dana Altman and the Ducks.
Pryor, who joined the Horns in 2023, started in just two games for Texas but played in 30 games over the last two seasons.
During the first two years of his collegiate career, Pryor averaged just 2.6 points per game, improving to 3.2 points per game during his sophomore season. Last year, he also averaged two rebounds, 0.5 blocks, and 0.3 steals per game.
When Texas hosted the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions, Pryor had a career-high 10 points as well as three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

The Houston native was a three-star prospect when he was coming out of high school in 2023 and held nine Division I offers, including the Texas A&M Aggies, TCU Horned Frogs, and Sam Houston State Bearkats.
During the 2025 SEC Tournament, Pryor logged just 11 total minutes in Texas' three games. He did not see the court during the Longhorns' appearance in the First Four round of the NCAA Tournament.
Pryor is joining an Oregon squad that made a run to the Round of 32, where the Ducks lost to their former Pac-12 opponent, the Arizona Wildcats. Head coach Dana Altman has been with the program since 2010 and has led the Ducks to nine NCAA Tournaments, including one run to the Final Four and one run to the Elite Eight.
Since taking over the Texas men's basketball program, Sean Miller has yet to bring in any new talent or officially secure any Longhorns on his roster before they either enter the transfer portal or declare for the 2025 NBA Draft.
