After a busy week of summer workouts, official visits, and a handful of blue-chip commitments, the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian are still living by their motto of "All gas, no brakes."

Following the commitments of four-star wide receiver Briceson Thrower, four-star defensive lineman Casi Kurrie, and four-star edge rusher JaBarrius Garror, the Longhorns are once again trending in the right direction for yet another blue-chip prospect: four-star safety Junior Tu'upo.

Tu'upo, the No. 13 prospect out of the state of Alabama, was just crystal-balled to commit to the Longhorns, despite his home-state teams both extending him offers in the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers.

Recruiting expert and managing partner for Inside Texas Eric Nahlinsubmitted his crystal ball prediction for the Horns landing Tu'upo over the Tide, Tigers, and a slew of other powerhouse programs. Nahlin's prediction came in at a 70-percent confidence level. This is a relatively strong belief, with the safety still in the midst of his official visit season.

4-star S Junior Tu'upo projected to land at Texas

Tu'upo visited the Horns just two weeks ago, during Texas's first official visit weekend of the summer, and took a trip to Auburn one week later. Now, with just the Crimson Tide left on his schedule, it wouldn't be a surprise if he made his commitment sooner rather than later.

However, the four-star safety also took official visits to see the Oregon Ducks and the defending National Champion Indiana Hoosiers. Currently, the Longhorns are favored to land his commitment, but the other four programs are far from out of the running. According to On3 and Rivals, they are still receiving minimal odds to land Tu'upo.

Of course, with his trip to Tuscaloosa still on the horizon, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide could swing things in their direction. But for now, Sarkisian's recruiting hot streak is continuing to dominate the national stage.

With the blue-chip commitments from last week, the Horns' class of 2027 leapt from No. 15 in the country to No. 10 in the national rankings. Texas's class is still highlighted by five-star wide receiver Easton Royal, who has yet to end his official visits despite committing to Texas nearly seven months ago.

The last two weekends have clearly paid off for the Horns, with things trending in the right direction for prospects like five-star defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou, as well as five-star cornerback John Meredith.

Texas is scheduled to host 15 prospects, including Royal, Cade Haug, and a few other recruits already committed to the Longhorns. However, the Horns are also scheduled to host a handful of players committed to other programs, including Texas Tech commit Julian Caldwell and LSU commit Ah'Mari Stevens.

With the third weekend of official visits just around the corner for Sarkisian and the Longhorns, stars like Royal and other blue-chip prospects are scheduled to come to the 40 Acres. It will be yet another chance for Texas to prove everything it has to offer to some of the top recruits in the country.
