Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns must be butter... because they're on a roll.
The Horns just landed yet another blue-chip commitment in the form of four-star edge rusher JaBarrius Garror. He committed to Texas over in-state teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers, as well as a slew of other powerhouse programs.
After his commitment, the edge rusher explained why he chose the Longhorns over anyone else, while donning a Texas hat and a burnt orange bomber jacket.
"I feel like I can grow as a player and a person, my relationship with coach [LaAllan] Clark, I feel like he's got the ability to make me strive for the best," Garror said, giving the nod to Texas's edge rushers coach.
Sarkisian hired LaAllan Clark to his staff in February of 2025, after he spent two years with the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the assistant coach has clearly already left his mark on the program.
JaBarrius Garror knew he was going to commit to Texas on his OV
"I told 'em on my [official visit] that I was gonna commit to Texas, and they [were] always excited for that," Garror said. "They were ready for me to make my announcement."
Garror visited the Longhorns just a week before his decision day, making his official visit to the 40 Acres alongside a lengthy list of other blue-chip prospects.

According to the edge rusher himself, he let Sarkisian and his staff know that he wanted to be a Longhorn; they were just waiting (maybe not so patiently) for him to make it official.
"The coaches [Sarkisian] got around him, I feel like they've got, you know, what it takes to get me to strive," Garror said. "To be the best person and player that I can be. Just going up there and watching their players, and hanging around them, I feel like I've got a good relationship with a lot of the players they have."
Garror is already an elite athlete, but Texas can set him up to succeed in college and at the next level.
The four-star edge rusher already amassed 210 total tackles over his sophomore and junior years of varsity football, earning 88.5 tackles for loss and a whopping 42.5 sacks, alongside 55 hurry-ups, seven pass deflections, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for 12 yards.
In other words, Garror is an absolute beast off the line, and already standing at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, could be a sizable (literally) problem for Texas's opponents to handle for years to come.
The Longhorns have become one of the top landing spots for elite pass rushers over the last few years, touting stars like current edge rusher Colin Simmons, who is primed to dominate off the line of scrimmage this season.
Of course, Garror is still a year removed from joining the Horns on the 40 Acres, but his commitment to Texas should have fans extremely excited for what's to come. It should also have Sarkisian thanking Clark for his additional work on the recruiting trail.

Garror's commitment was the 14th in Texas's class of 2027, propelling the group to the No. 10 spot on the national recruiting rankings and fourth in the SEC, only trailing the Texas A&M Aggies, Oklahoma Sooners, and Florida Gators.
With two more weekends of official visits and dozens of additional athletes coming to town, Sarkisian and his staff should prepare for even more commitments from the class.
