The baseball postseason has arrived, and for the Texas Longhorns, it begins with the SEC Tournament and a matchup with a long-time rival.
The Horns enjoyed byes through the first two rounds of the conference tournament, but now they have to face the Arkansas Razorbacks, who have had Texas's number since the rivalry was renewed.
Don't get it wrong, Texas has dominated the rivalry, winning 76 of the 118 meetings between the two teams. However, Arkansas is on a hot streak, winning 10 of the last 14 matchups.
Now, with a win-or-go-home game on the line, the Longhorns can set the record straight and prove that Texas is the better baseball program.

Texas is the No. 2 seed in the tournament, and Arkansas is the No. 7 seed, with the Razorbacks struggling to find their footing throughout the regular season.
However, the two teams also didn't have a regular-season series this year, so this SEC Tournament quarterfinal game will be the first of the season.
Arkansas defeated the Tennessee Volunteers, who were fresh off a win over South Carolina in the opening round, to advance to the quarterfinals. With the win, Arkansas improved to 37-19 overall and 17-13 against conference opponents.
Meanwhile, the Horns, who were waiting to see which team they would face, are 40-12 overall and 19-10 in SEC play.
The winner will advance to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of another quarterfinal matchup between the No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies and the No. 6 Auburn Tigers. If Texas A&M pulls off the expected win, it could set up yet another rivalry game and another chance at revenge.
The Razorbacks are on a five-game winning streak against Texas. It is time for head coach Jim Schlossnagle and the Longhorns to right the ship against their rival, and the SEC Tournament has presented a perfect opportunity.
