Sean Miller has made it perfectly clear that he's not finished when it comes to the transfer portal, and it looks like he may have found his next target at small forward. UNC-Asheville combo wing Kameron Taylor has been flying under the radar since the portal opened, but it sounds like Texas could be in on him now.
Ever since Dailyn Swain declared for the 2026 NBA Draft, the Longhorns have been keeping tabs on a few different replacements. Some of the reported targets have been Wake Forest's Juke Harris, Providence's Jamier Jones, and Arkansas' Karter Knox.

Though those players are all from high-level programs, Kameron Taylor can score from anywhere inside the arc and has the ball-handling skills and off-ball IQ to complement Sean Miller's offense perfectly.

High Major Player. There’s no other way to put it, Elite athlete, positional size, engaged defender, he had an impressive FR-SO leap jumping up 10ppg. His shot selection might need some improvement, but it’s hard… pic.twitter.com/HUsdIMbhCy
The Longhorns already have elite transfers Isaiah Johnson and David Punch committed at point guard and power forward, respectively, but they still need to add that ever-important wing player to the mix for 2026.
Kameron Taylor averaged 18.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.0 APG, and 0.8 SPG while shooting 45% from the floor. Watching Taylor operate with with the ball is kind of crazy to see to be honest. Not many wings have the type of ball-handling skills that Taylor has, and he consistently uses it to his advantage when driving to the rim.
Being able to have a player like Taylor operate alongside Isaiah Johnson and incoming freshman Austin Goosby in the backcourt next season could result in Texas being able to make an even deeper run in the NCAA Tournament than they had in 2026.
