Just a few weeks ago, Texas starting quarterback Arch Manning signed an astronomic NIL deal with Red Bull. Now, Manning has added another high-profile deal to his portfolio: Uber.

The young QB was already the highest-valued athlete in college, with an NIL value sitting around $6.6 million. On Tuesday, March 4, Manning and Uber released a commercial announcing his latest deal.

The commercial features Manning's father, Cooper Manning, and his grandfather, Archie Manning, both of whom played college football, Archie going on to play at the professional level. The Texas QB has kept his family close as he has gone through his first two seasons with the Longhorns, despite his family having ties to Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Manning played backup quarterback behind Quinn Ewers, who is now heading toward the 2025 NFL Draft, and currently has three years of eligibility remaining. During the 2024-25 season, Manning saw a lot more playing time as Ewers suffered multiple injury setbacks.

Arch Manning 2024-25 stats

  • 61 completions (67.8 percent)
  • 939 passing yards
  • 9 passing touchdowns
  • 2 interceptions
  • 25 carries
  • 108 rushing yards
  • 4 rushing touchdowns

Manning's latest NIL deal is in partnership with Uber and Waymo, a self-driving version of the ride-sharing app. Waymo is just launching in Austin, so Manning's deal with the company is genuinely a one-of-a-kind partnership.

The Longhorns will officially enter the "Manning Era" when Texas flies north to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, Aug. 30. When the Horns lost to Ohio State in the 2025 College Football Playoffs, Manning saw the field for just one play in which he ran the ball for eight yards.
