Definitely one of the most emphatic visitors that is scheduled to be on campus this weekend is a former commit of the Longhorns 2022 class. Five-star Frisco-Liberty wide receiver Evan Stewart is set to be one of the dozen about official visitors among 2022 high school prospects on campus this weekend.

Stewart is specifically set for a June 18 official visit date with Texas. He locked in that official visit last weekend, which could give them one of the final words if there is a decision date coming later this offseason from Stewart.

Texas originally landed a commitment from Stewart back on Feb. 18, and then he decommitted on March 11. That commitment from Stewart didn’t last very long, but Texas still looks to be among his frontrunners at this point of his recruitment.

Some of the first significant visits of the month came with the Texas A&M Aggies (unofficial on June 14) and Florida Gators (official on June 4). The two remaining visits for Stewart this month are set to come with Texas on June 18 and then the USC Trojans and head coach Clay Helton on June 25.

Beyond the four schools mentioned, it is worth watching how the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers start trending in the coming months in Stewart’s recruitment.

Texas has second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman and new special teams coordinator Jeff Banks as the two recruiters pursuing Stewart. Those two look to be doing good work thus far, but making sure they get this visit right with Stewart when there’s other commits on campus, like four-star Junipero Serra pro-style quarterback Maalik Murphy, is the top task.
