For a third straight week, the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian are scheduled to host a group of recruits for a weekend of official visits.
This weekend, the Horns have Easton Royal coming to town. The five-star wide receiver is already committed to Texas, but with a slew of official visits to other programs and a highly active social media presence sharing his love for those teams, he's anything but a sure thing for the Horns.
However, with more than a dozen prospects coming to Austin, Sarkisian and his staff have quite a few other targets to give love to this weekend and try to bring them into their already blossoming recruiting class of 2027.

Royal also isn't the only Texas commit coming to town this weekend, joined by safety Greedy James, linebacker Cade Haug, and quarterback Ty Knutson.
- Easton Royal, five-star wide receiver, Texas commit
- Monshun Sales, five-star wide receiver
- Landen Williams-Callis, four-star running back
- Brandon Sherrard, four-star cornerback
- Mikahi Allen, four-star linebacker
- Greedy James, four-star safety, Texas commit
- Tyler Alexander, four-star defensive lineman
- Dhillon McGee, three-star cornerback
- Cade Haug, three-star linebacker, Texas commit
- Ty Knutson, three-star quarterback, Texas commit
- Lucas Rhoa, three-star interior offensive lineman
- Jason Johnson, three-star defensive lineman
- Jerrell Bridges, three-star linebacker, Houston commit
Most of the prospects coming to town have yet to commit to a program, other than Houston Cougar commit and three-star linebacker Jerrell Bridges. So, Sarkisian has the perfect opportunity to bring in more blue-chip prospects for the Longhorns.
Monshun Sales, a five-star wide receiver visiting Texas this weekend, is one of the most highly coveted prospects in the recruiting class of 2027. Having received offers from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Ohio State, and more, he is currently projected to land with the Indiana Hoosiers, the defending National Champions, but a trip to the 40 Acres could be just what he needs to keep Texas in mind.
Another offensive star, four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis, is yet another prospect who would add incredible depth in the backfield for Texas, not to mention three-star IOL Lucas Rhoa, who could bring necessary skill and size to the Horns' offensive line.
A handful of elite defensive prospects are coming to Austin as well, including four-star cornerback Brandon Sherrard, who is projected to be between the Horns and the LSU Tigers, as well as four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen, who is reportedly leaning toward the Texas A&M Aggies.
Yes, Sarkisian and the Longhorns must pay attention and give energy to Royal. However, with a dozen other prospects taking their official visits to Texas this weekend, he is far from the only prospect that deserves effort this weekend.

So far, the Horns have landed 15 commitments from the class of 2027, including those from Royal, James, Haug, and Knutson. The Class ranks 11th in the country and fifth in the SEC, an undeniable step back from Texas's recent dominance on the recruiting trail. However, a weekend of official visits could be exactly what Sarkisian needs to see the class vault into the top 10.
