Former Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden spent just a single season with the Longhorns, but that one year paid dividends, and ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, he has expressed nothing but gratitude for his time in Austin.
Most recently, Golden joined Kay Adams on her podcast, the Up & Adams Show, and spoke very highly of his head coach at Texas, Steve Sarkisian.
"He has meant everything to me," Golden said of Sarkisian, who recruited the wideout to the program after Golden spent his first two collegiate seasons with the Houston Cougars.
Golden went on to talk about how he knows his time at Texas prepared him to be a "playmaker" in the league, specifically on kickoff returns, which he only took 14 of during his two years with the Cougars.
