The Texas Longhorns have been an unstoppable force on the recruiting trail this summer, landing top prospects like five-star cornerback John Meredith III, five-star interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara, and nearly everyone else they have set their sights on.

Now, that very same attention is being focused on five-star running back Landen Williams-Callis, the No. 3 RB in the class of 2027 and the No. 6 overall prospect out of Texas.

Williams-Callis has recently played up the idea that his commitment is coming soon. Most recruiting experts are leaning toward the blue-chip running back choosing between the Horns and their in-state rivals, the Texas A&M Aggies.

However, as the Aggies apply their own pressure, a slew of prospects already committed to Texas from Williams-Callis' own recruiting class are pushing for him to commit to the Longhorns. In fact, even the running back himself has posed the question if Texas is home...

Everyone from Camara to four-star cornerback Montre Jackson has taken to social media to put in their own recruiting efforts, urging Williams-Callis to choose burnt orange over maroon, referring to the Horns as home over the Aggies.

Ismael Camara, Montre Jackson push for in-state Texas talent

Both Camara and Jackson are also native Texans, committing to the Longhorns over other in-state teams like the SMU Mustangs, Texas A&M, and more. Now, they want their fellow Texan to follow suit.

Camara went as far as to say, "The best players in Texas go to TEXAS," including an orange heart and Hook'Em Horns emojis, alongside the hashtag "home."

Jackson left it a little more simply, saying, "Come home!!" with the hashtag "HOOKEM" in all caps. Jackson's message caught Williams-Callis' attention, the running back reposting it with two sideways-looking eyes emojis.

Of course, while a little recruiting help from players already committed to your program always helps, the true weight of the task at hand falls to head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff, with the final decision coming down to Williams-Callis picking one program over another.

So, while Williams-Callis is a massive target for Texas, it is coming down to time for the five-star prospect to make his decision, either making the Horns' hearts melt or break.

Meanwhile, Sarkisian and the Longhorns aren't entirely out of the conversation for five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales, the No. 2 wideout behind current Texas commit Easton Royal. In other words, Texas is juggling a few tasks on the recruiting trail, working to cement its class of 2027 as a top-five group, if not one that breaks into the top three.

Currently, the Horns' class of 2027 ranks fifth in the country and second in the SEC, only trailing the Texas A&M Aggies. On the national stage, the Horns also trail the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks, and Miami (FL) Hurricanes.
