It isn't a new trend for the Texas Longhorns to be included on preseason watchlists and honor rolls. However, for quite this many Horns to be included on the Walter Camp Preseason All-American Team is a massive honor.
This year, five Longhorns were included on the first- and second-team rosters, including three Texas stars heading the Walter Camp All-American First Team.
Texas Longhorns on Walter Camp All-American rosters
Unsurprisingly, the usual stars who crop up in these conversations made the first-team roster, with a couple of newcomers to Texas's roster making the cut as well.
- Arch Manning, quarterback, first team
- Colin Simmons, defensive end, first team
- Rasheem Biles, linebacker, first team
- Trevor Goosby, offensive lineman, first team
- Cam Coleman, wide receiver, second team
Quarterback Arch Manning and defensive end Colin Simmons are two of the most talked-about athletes in all of college football, and that trend continued in the Walter Camp preseason lists. The pair was joined by returning Longhorn offensive lineman Trevor Goosby and transfer portal pickup Rasheem Biles.
Meanwhile, transfer wide receiver Cam Coleman, who is expected to light it up downfield for the Horns on offense, made the Walter Camp All-American second team after transferring to Texas following two seasons with the Auburn Tigers.

When making these preseason rosters, a lot of the discussion is based around what the athletes were able to do last season, combined with the players around them to make their season possible, as well as the improvements possibly made in the offseason.
Arch Manning 2025 stats
- 3,163 passing yards
- 26 touchdowns
- 7 interceptions
- 399 rushing yards
- 10 rushing touchdowns
- 4 receiving yards
- 1 receiving touchdown
There's no hiding the hype around the Horns' starting quarterback. Heading into his redshirt junior season, the expectations continue to grow ever larger overhead.

Colin Simmons 2025 stats
- 43 total tackles (23 solo)
- 12 sacks
- 3 forced fumbles
- 2 pass deflections
Simmons was elite last year and the year before while at Texas. This season, he is expected to not only be a leader for the Texas defense but also to cement himself as a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Rasheem Biles 2025 stats (Pitt)
- 100 total tackles (39 solo)
- 4.5 sacks
- 2 forced fumbles
- 4 pass deflections
- 2 interceptions
- 2 defensive touchdowns
Biles was a star for the Pitt Panthers last season. When Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian landed his commitment out of the transfer portal, it was massive news for the Longhorns' defense.
Cam Coleman 2025 stats (Auburn)
- 56 receptions
- 708 receiving yards
- 5 receiving touchdowns
- 1 two-point conversion
Over the last two years, Coleman caught for eight (yes, 8) different quarterbacks while playing at Auburn. Despite the inconsistency, he still racked up a pretty impressive resume. With only Manning throwing to him, every single stat should improve.
These five Texas players are just a few of the dominant athletes on Sarkisian's depth chart, and they will be a big part of the Longhorns' hopeful return to the College Football Playoff and, more hopefully, a return to the National Championship game.
