With a lot of key players reaching the end of their collegiate eligibility, and Dailyn Swain declaring for the NBA Draft, Texas men's basketball head coach Sean Miller had an uphill battle ahead of him to rebuild the Longhorns' roster.
And, with the transfer portal officially closed, it's easy to say that Miller has done a fantastic job.
With four additions from the portal, the Horns' transfer class ranks second in the nation, only trailing the Louisville Cardinals, according to 247Sports.

Miller has already landed four big-time players from the portal this offseason, perfectly filling in the gaps left by departures.
Former Tennessee guard Amari Evans, former Colorado Buffaloes guard Isaiah Johnson, former TCU Horned Frogs forward David Punch, and former Auburn Tigers forward Elyjah Freeman all committed to the Horns from the portal, giving Miller four four-star commitments.

Of course, with the addition of four blue-chip transfer prospects comes an increased expectation for the upcoming season, which is exactly what Texas has seen as way-too-early polls have been released.

So, it's not just the transfer additions. It's also Miller's coaching abilities and the return of stars like center Matas Vokietaitis.
To put it lightly, there is a lot expected out of the Horns next season, and the best news is that Miller has over six months to figure out exactly how his newly formed team will work.
