Over the past month, Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns entered a recruiting hot streak, landing 11 commitments and sending their class of 2027 from a top-15 class to the precipice of breaking into the top five of the national rankings.
From five-star cornerback John Meredith III to three-star defensive lineman Jason Johnson, the Horns racked up a lot of talent in the month of June. Already, July is set to match the level of success for Sarkisian on the recruiting trail.
So far, the Horns have landed 21 commitments from the class of 2027, pushing their recruiting class to No. 6 in the country and No. 3 in the SEC.
While July 1 officially starts the summer signing period and saw the commitment of four-star cornerback Brandon Sherrard to Texas, there are a couple more blue-chip prospects possibly on the horizon for Sarkisian and the Horns.
Four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis is an in-state target for the Longhorns, and ahead of his commitment, he was expected to make his final decision between Texas and none other than the Texas A&M Aggies.
As one of the top offensive prospects still uncommitted from the class of 2027, many experts expect his commitment to come in July, if not in the first few days of the month.

A commitment from a player like Williams-Callis could send the Horns' recruiting class into the top five of the national standings and could set them up to leapfrog the two SEC opponents still ranked ahead of Texas: the Oklahoma Sooners and the Aggies.
Five-star interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara is one of the biggest fish still left to be reeled in from the class of 2027. As the No. 29 overall prospect in the recruiting cycle, the No. 4 IOL, and the No. 4 recruit out of Texas, everyone has their eyes on Camara.

Beyond his rankings, he's already built like a collegiate offensive lineman, standing at a towering 6-foot-6 and a resounding 335 pounds, with another year of high school football still on the horizon.
As the expectation for his commitment continued to garner interest, many recruiting experts started logging predictions that he would commit to Sarkisian and the Horns.
While that's a great sign for Texas, nothing locks in a prospect like his own commitment, and that's exactly what the Longhorns should be on the lookout for over the next few days or weeks.
As of now, Texas's class of 2027 is headlined by Meredith and five-star wide receiver Easton Royal, alongside a slew of four-star and three-star commits. A commitment from Camara would undoubtedly propel the Longhorns into the top five of the national standings and very likely a top-two spot in the conference.
