It's starting to feel like every day, there is a new team circling the waters, trying to poach a top prospect from Texas's recruiting class.
Metaphorically, of course, yesterday it was Notre Dame, the day before it was Ohio State, and today it's the Florida Gators.
Most recently, five-star wide receiver and long-time Longhorn commit Easton Royal visited the Gators, and unfortunately for Texas, he seemed to love his trip to Gainesville.
Red flags go up as Easton Royal seemed to love Florida
After sharing on social media that he had touched down in Gainesville, including the message "Back in the swamp!", Royal took it a step further, tweeting out a picture of himself with Florida head coach Jon Sumrall and using two Gator emojis.

Royal has been committed to the Longhorns since November of last year, but has yet to officially shut down his recruitment process, leaving the door cracked for teams like Florida to swoop in and turn his attention in their direction.
A Louisiana native, it was big time for Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff to earn Royal's commitment, choosing the Horns over other powerhouse programs like the Gators, the LSU Tigers, the Miami Hurricanes, and more.
With Royal's commitment, Texas's recruiting class of 2027 sits at ninth in the country and fourth in the SEC, only trailing the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, and Georgia Bulldogs.
However, if Royal (as the only five-star prospect currently committed to Texas) flipped his commitment, Sarkisian could see his class's national and conference ranking plummet.
While Royal has done his part to calm the fears of him flipping, taking numerous trips to see other programs and sharing positive messages and images while doing so doesn't exactly produce a calm feeling among the Horns.
This summer, Royal has three official visits scheduled, including one to Austin to spend time with Sarkisian and the Horns. However, he also has a trip to Gainesville planned to reunite with Sumrall and one to visit the Ole Miss Rebels.
