The Texas Longhorns just wrapped up their first weekend of official visit season, and it came with more than a dozen blue-chip prospects coming to campus.
Afterward, nearly every single recruit who had been in town took to social media to share content from the weekend and praise the Horns for a great visit.
"Big thanks to [Texas football] for hosting the OV! I appreciate everything they’ve done to me and my family. A moment never forgotten. HOOKEM," four-star edge rusher Cameron Hall shared on X.

Hall was one of the many highly-coveted prospects in the recruiting cycle to visit the Longhorns over the weekend, and one of many recruits already committed to Texas, including four-star tight end Brock Williams, four-star running back Noah Roberts, and four-star defensive lineman Derwin Fields.
Roberts, who committed to the Horns in May, reportedly canceled any other official visits on his calendar and shared that he was "locked in, it’s over,” according to Texas beat reporters.

Additionally, head coach Steve Sarkisian took steps in the right direction to bring in elite additions to the Horns' recruiting class of 2027, such as five-star cornerback John Meredith III, who is the No. 1 CB and No. 2 overall prospect in the class.

So far, Sarkisian has landed 12 commitments from the recruiting cycle, landing the Longhorns' class of 2027 at 15th in the national rankings and sixth in the SEC. That group includes three-star wide receiver Briceson Thrower, who committed to Texas over the weekend, two weeks before his own scheduled official visit.
Texas Longhorns OV schedule for June 12 weekend
Over the next two weekends, Sarkisian and the Horns are scheduled to host dozens of other prospects on the 40 Acres, proping up Texas to hopefully land more commitments, sending the recruiting class skyrocketing up the rankings.
- Mitchell Turner, four-star defensive lineman
- SaRod Baker, four-star running back
- Brian Swanson, four-star offensive tackle
- Montre Jackson, four-star cornerback
- Alvin Mosley, four-star wide receiver
- Reed Ramsier, four-star interior offensive lineman
- Joakim Gouda, three-star linebacker
- Lathan Whisenton, three-star running back
- Amari Vickerson, three-star defensive lineman
The third weekend of OV season will lead to even more blue-chip recruits coming to Austin, with the hopes of more committing to the Longhorns.
