In their final weekend of official visits over the last three weeks, the Texas Longhorns hosted none other than five-star wide receiver Easton Royal.
To preface, Royal committed to the Horns seven months ago, choosing Texas over a slew of powerhouse programs. However, since then, the blue-chip wide receiver has taken visit after visit to other teams, praising different programs and coaches for one thing or another.
However, on his final official visit of the summer, Royal looked like he was at home on the 40 Acres, even hinting at that fact over the past weekend.

Per usual, Royal shared quite a bit of content from his official visit on social media, including a picture from his photoshoot, captioning it with two house emojis, hinting that Texas was his home, which he hadn't done on previous visits to other teams. Following the image with a beloved message: simply using the hashtag "OU sucks."

Throughout the weekend, Royal used X and Instagram to share pictures and videos of his time around Austin, including a picture from Texas's hall of fame, which includes nearly every single trophy ever won by a Longhorn team (in all sports).

A possible two-sport athlete, Royal even shared a picture of himself in a Texas track and field uniform, as well as updating his profile picture on X to one of the images from his recruiting trip.
Of course, his visit and his use of social media are nothing new. Over the last few weeks, he also took trips to see the LSU Tigers and Florida Gators, sharing even more content during his official visits to Baton Rouge and Gainesville.
However, after his OV to Texas, Royal told Orange Bloods's Jason Suchomel that his commitment to the Longhorns was "firm," something he hadn't willingly expressed ahead of his return trip to the 40 Acres.

While still in the middle of scheduling his summer travel plans, Royal did share that there was a reason Texas was his last official visit on the calendar.
At the end of the day, Royal has yet to share whether there's a real opportunity for a team to flip his commitment, or if he has simply been taking advantage of the recruiting process that a blue-chip athlete gets to enjoy.
Currently, the Horns and head coach Steve Sarkisian have landed 16 commitments from the class of 2027, the latest coming from five-star cornerback John Meredith III, which propelled the group to No. 4 in the national standings, trailing the Texas A&M Aggies, Oklahoma Sooners, and Florida Gators.

Were Royal to flip his commitment, it could send the Horns toppling back beyond the top 10. But, for now at least, the Royal is committed to Texas and is one of the many shining stars signed up to be a future Longhorn.
