Five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales might be the most talked-about prospect in the country right now. As the highest-rated recruit yet to commit to a team, all eyes are on his upcoming decision day.

According to almost anyone who knows anything about the world of college football recruiting, Sales is deciding between his home-state team, the Indiana Hoosiers, and none other than the Texas Longhorns, who emerged as a serious contender over the last few weeks.

Yesterday, Sales gave the Horns just one more reason to truly believe that they would earn his commitment on Friday, when he announced his decision.

Sales took to Instagram to post a picture from one of his visits to the 40 Acres, sharing a photo of him the Longhorns' icy white uniforms, and not sharing any new pictures from his trips with the Hoosiers.

In fact, if you look at his Instagram activity a little closer, you would notice that he posted content from his official visit to Texas on June 20, using "HOOK EM" as his caption. Meanwhile, he hasn't posted any official Indiana content since April of this year.

While those posts coincide with his OVs to each program, the apparent lack of Hoosier content might be yet another reason for the Longhorns to hold out hope that they could be Sales' future team.

Monshun Sales continues to hint at Longhorns

This wasn't the first time that Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian had received a little bit of hope through Sales' social media presence. Just last week, the five-star wideout reposted a story about the Longhorns still being in the mix and emerging as one of the frontrunners for his commitment.

In other words, even with the Hoosiers holding the obvious edge over the Horns as Sales' home-state team, Texas is undeniably still in the conversation and should be taken seriously as his commitment date approaches.

Keep in mind, however, that Texas already lays claim to the No. 1 wide receiver in the class of 2027 in Easton Royal. While a few recruiting analysts believe that's a reason that Sales wouldn't want to play for the Horns as the No. 2 WR in the cycle, his social media activity is telling a different tale.

Sales set his decision day as Friday, July 17, which was just two days after he posted the icy white uniform picture on his Instagram story. While social media activity and posts are never guarantees, nobody could deny it was a good sign for Sarkisian and the Longhorns.
