The hype that has built around the Texas Longhorns and one of their newest downfield targets Cam Coleman has been incomparable over the last few months.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian recruited Coleman out of the transfer portal after the wide receiver spent two years with the Auburn Tigers.

Now, with a connection quickly taking shape between Coleman and the Longhorns' QB1, Arch Manning, there are massive expectations for the Texas offense this season.

On top of all that, while spring practices might be over, it is readily apparent that Coleman isn't taking any time off, and one of the newest videos of his offseason training is only piling on to the excitement for his first season with the Horns.

In the clip, you can see Coleman's incredible ability to control and utilize his massive frame, standing at just over 6-foot-3 but clocking in at more than 200 pounds. His quick footwork and sure hands make him a nearly unstoppable target for quarterbacks to throw the ball up to.

Texas Longhorns primed for offensive success

Coleman put the work in with legendary wide receiver trainer David Robinson, commonly known as "D Rob," in Austin, going that extra mile to ensure his expected success with the Longhorns this season.

While at Auburn and playing alongside nearly a dozen quarterbacks over two years, Coleman found success on a team that struggled offensively.

During his first two seasons of collegiate football, he earned 1,306 receiving yards for 13 touchdowns on 93 receptions, as well as earning a two-point conversion to tack onto his overall point total.

With Manning the go-to guy slinging the ball, Coleman will finally have the consistency he needs at quarterback, leading to an expected skyrocket in his success.

Coleman wasn't the only major addition to Sarkisian's offense this year, coming to Austin alongside elite running back Hollywood Smothers, who also has lofty goals and expectations for his time on the 40 Acres.

Smothers, who joined the Longhorns after a year at Oklahoma and two at NC State, has 1,552 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns to his name. He has also earned 453 receiving yards for three more touchdowns throughout his career, and he even has 51 yards from kickoff returns.

Simply put, the Horns are poised to dominate on the offensive side of the ball this season, and if these elite athletes meet expectations, it's going to be really hard for anyone to stop Texas.

Texas starts its 2026 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5, with a home game against the Texas State Bobcats. Then, one week later, the Longhorns will look to exact their revenge on the Ohio State Buckeyes, who are coming to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Sept. 12.
