After months, if not years, of recruiting five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales, the blue-chip prospect has officially set his decision date.

As of now, he is projected to decide between the Indiana Hoosiers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, LSU Tigers, and none other than the Texas Longhorns. On June 17, Sales will commit to one of the teams vying for his attention.

In the weeks leading up to Sales announcing his commitment date, the Horns flew into the center of the conversation around his recruitment, garnering attention from every direction despite the Hoosiers and Crimson Tide supposedly leading the charge up until that point.

Now, with just a few days until his decision day, it may be time for the Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian to simply lie in wait to see if Sales will join their fold.

Ultimately, despite the graphic used by Rivals to report Sales' commitment date, Sales is most likely choosing between Indiana and Texas, with the two programs splitting expert predictions over the last few weeks.

The Hoosiers are Sales' home-state team, the blue-chip wideout growing up in Indianapolis. However, Sarkisian and the Longhorns have made a serious push to bring Sales to the 40 Acres, despite Texas being a few hundred miles away from his hometown.

Sales is the No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2027 and the No. 7 overall prospect in the recruiting cycle, so adding him to any roster would be massive for the program.

As of now, the Longhorns already lay claim to the No. 1 receiver in the cycle with five-star wideout Easton Royal committed to Texas. Yet, with the rumor mill constantly hinting at the fact that Royal's commitment could flip to another team, having Sales in the recruiting class would be more than a great "backup" option.

Currently, the Horns have the No. 5 recruiting class of 2026, ranking second in the SEC, and it is composed of 15 blue-chip prospects, including Royal, five-star cornerback John Meredith III, and five-star interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara.

If Sales commits to Texas, the Longhorns would have one of the best, if not the very best, receiving rooms in the nation for years to come.

Not to mention the fact that Texas already has a slew of blue-chip quarterbacks in its locker room with more heading to the 40 Acres over the next few years.

While an exact time hasn't been set for Sales' commitment, the Longhorns and the Hoosiers are now just four days away from learning if their efforts were enough to bring the five-star wide receiver into their program.
