Earlier this week, it was reported that five-star wide receiver and current Texas commit would be on the sidelines when the Horns hosted the Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 2.

Immediately, that game became an even bigger point of emphasis for the Texas Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian, with Royal being at the center of conversations about possible commitment flips.

Now, there's another date to circle on the calendar: Nov. 14. In the final month of the regular season, the Horns will pay a visit to the LSU Tigers, and now, Royal is scheduled to be in attendance.

Royal, a Louisiana native, is being pulled in every direction by every team imaginable, but his home-state Tigers have undeniably led the charge to flip his commitment in their direction.

Suddenly, just like the game against Ohio State, the road game against the Tigers carries more weight than just a regular-season matchup. Now, it's a must-win game to possibly keep Royal as a part of the Longhorns' recruiting class of 2027.

Easton Royal schedules four game-day visits

The Nov. 14 game isn't the only time Royal plans to visit Baton Rouge, also scheduling a game-day visit for when LSU is scheduled to host the Clemson Tigers in Week 1, as well as scheduling a visit to the Florida Gators when they play the Ole Miss Rebels.

Yet, at the same time, he also isn't the only five-star prospect that the Horns plan on having in Austin throughout the season.

For the Ohio State game alone, Sarkisian and his staff are also currently scheduled to host five-star interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara, yet another recruit committed to Texas, and are working to bring current Indiana Hoosiers commit Monshun Sales, another five-star wideout, to town for the game.

Of course, the main focus of every college football Saturday is the actual game at hand. However, in the modern era of the sport, coaches have to juggle about a million different things on any given day, including hosting recruits in the middle of big-time games.

This isn't new to Sarkisian, who is heading into his sixth season as the Longhorns' head coach. Just a year ago, Texas hosted top prospects like quarterback Dia Bell over the weekend of big-time games.

For your purposes, if you want to look for recruits like Royal and Camara on the sidelines this season, Texas and Ohio State are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 12, and the Longhorns and Tigers are scheduled to play on Saturday, Sept. 14, with a kickoff time yet to be set.
